The Langtang Region
Situated a mere 19 miles north of Kathmandu and pressing directly against the Tibetan border, the Langtang National Park offers immense biodiversity, spectacular glacial topography, and profound Tibetan-Buddhist culture without the need for internal flights.
Langtang Valley: Ultimate Trekking
Widely known as the “Valley of Glaciers,” this flagship itinerary tracks the violently rushing Bhote Koshi and Langtang Khola rivers. You will ascend continuously through dense sub-tropical forests, a globally recognized sanctuary acting as a prime habitat for the elusive Red Panda and Himalayan Black Bear.
The trek breaks the tree line into vast yak pastures, passing deeply historic Tamang settlements to culminate in the high alpine bowl of Kyanjin Gompa. A crucial acclimatization hike to the summit of Tserko Ri (4,985m) yields sweeping, 360-degree panoramic views of the entire Langtang and Jugal Himal ranges.
Langtang Gosaikunda Pilgrimage
An expansive geographical challenge that seamlessly links the glaciated Langtang terrain with the sacred alpine lakes of Gosaikunda. Initiating a massive vertical ascent through ancient forests of rhododendron and fir via Sing Gompa, the trail breaks the tree line permanently.
Arriving at the holy Gosaikunda lakes (4,300m), trekkers are surrounded by barren, rocky peaks. Marked by ancient Chortens and Shiva temples, this spectacular alpine lake system serves as a massive pilgrimage site for thousands of Hindu and Buddhist devotees alike.
Helambu Cultural Trek
Designed for clients seeking a deeply culturally rich, low-altitude immersion without the extreme physiological demands of the high passes. Beginning literally at the northern edge of the Kathmandu Valley, this route weaves a gentle path directly into ancient Hyolmo culture.
Trekkers traverse unspoiled, classic Himalayan foothills, walking through dense, vibrant bamboo forests and visiting peaceful, centuries-old Buddhist monasteries built by the indigenous Tamang and Tibetan inhabitants.
